In Jan 2024, I took transit flights, and my transit point was Taipei Taoyuan Airport (TPE). Since my next flight was not too early in the morning, instead of then staying at Novotel Taoyuan Airport Hotel, I booked for this Fullon Hotel Taoyuan Airport Access MRT A8 (福容大飯店桃園機場捷運A8).

Staying here saved me a bit of money compared to the Novotel, and I also saved about 30 minutes in the morning compared to staying in the Taipei Station area. The hotel’s location is really convenient, the breakfast was delicious, and the room was comfortable. I was very satisfied with my stay.
Room
I booked a double room, which was more than spacious for just me.
It was a cold night by Taiwan standards. A Taiwanese friend of mine had warned me to “prepare for the cold,” but it had been snowing when I left Japan, so it wasn’t too bad in comparison. Of course, there was no snow in the Taipei/ Taoyuan area! That said, it did feel chilly since there didn’t seem to be any heaters. Since I was alone, I doubled up on the comforters to stay warm.
The hotel is relatively new and even had USB charging outlets.
They provided plenty of snacks, which felt like a very Taiwanese touch. 😀
There were also two bottles of water and three small bottles of juice.
I completely forgot to take a photo of the bathroom, but it had a separate shower and bathtub, which I really liked.
Breakfast
I had a small breakfast at the hotel. I didn’t expect anything extravagant, but there was actually a lot of variety.

Unfortunately, breakfast started fairly late (around 7:00 AM), so I couldn’t eat much due to both time constraints and my appetite, but the food was tasty.
Location
The Fullon Taoyuan Airport MRT A8 is located close to the Taoyuan Airport MRT (桃園捷運機場線), which runs between Taoyuan Airport and Taipei Station. The Express Train (Purple Line) stops at A8, Changgung Memorial Hospital Station (長庚醫院站).
There’s a skybridge connecting Changgung Memorial Hospital Station to the hotel, so even though it was raining, getting there wasn’t an issue.
The hotel is located in the Global Mall Taoyuan A8 (環球購物中心 桃園A8), but the mall isn’t very big or fancy; it’s more of a local mall. There are a few places to eat, and you can grab a meal there if needed.
I had some trouble finding the entrance to the hotel and ended up circling the floor twice. A tip: try to find the “Muji” store. There’s an elevator hall on the Muji store that you can use. It feels like a backdoor, but if you look across from Muji, you’ll find the elevator that takes you to the reception.
I’ll definitely stay here again if I have a layover at Taoyuan Airport and enough time.
